The Backyardigans Wiki won the grand prize of the Celebrating the Wikis of 2010 contest. The grand prize was a giant picture on the home page of Wikia (the first slide on the main page slider), a new background, a new wordmark, and a new updated home page. For its fifth year, the Backyardigans Wiki was given a spotlight (a linked picture on the bottom of every wiki). The first spotlight's description said "Check out this Community Contest Winner!". The second said "The backyard is your oyster" and "That was an excellent adventure, don't you think?". The BW's old name was The Backyardigans Encyclopedia. The name was changed in late 2010. The Backyardigans Wiki's old web address was http://thebackyardigansencyclopedia.wikia.com. The address still links to the current one. But there are some things admins don't expect from loyal users. These things include vandalism, using inappropriate words, and uploading unrelated files. Users who don't follow the rules will be blocked, meaning they will not be allowed to edit the wiki anymore.
