Inspecteur Austin is an officer and detective under assignment of the Paris Police.
Inspecteur Austin is a determined and observant officer whose known for previously apprehending multiple criminals. His main priority was to track down and capture Le Master of Disguise, a sly figure notorious for his many deceiving appearances. Following him onto the Istanbul-bound Orient Express, Inspecteur Austin demanded to hear the laughter of each passenger, since the only way to identify Le Master of Disguise's identity is through his distinct laughter. As keen as Inspecteur Austin is, he may be fooled by a few of Le Master of Disguise's outfits, such as his disguise as the conductor.
Inspecteur Austin is primarily purple. He wears deep purple suit consisting of a black-rimmed fedora, a formal gray jacket, dress pants, a white dress shirt, and a black waistcoat, as well as a bowtie and pocket square patterned in purple and gold. He also has a gray mustache.
Austin has played Inspecteur Austin in one episode of The Backyardigans: "Le Master of Disguise" from season three.
